The Ugly Location Challenge

A photography "trend" that hit the internet recently is the ugly location challenge, which is exactly what it sounds like. In December, my friend Jayden reached out to me with the idea and I was SO. DOWN. I had already been wanting to shoot with her and the idea of taking up a challenge was super exciting. (Although, I must say that ugly locations are not an unfamiliar circumstance when you live in Floridian suburbia.)

We hit the glorious department store that is Lowe's Home Improvement and started improvising. The employees were super chill about it all and even encouraged our strange attempt of artistry amidst their plywood and light fixtures.

Afterwards, we hit an IHOP for a more vintage tone (and also food!) where the staff was just as accepting of us. And then Jayden bought my crepes, because she's a beautiful angel and I don't deserve her.

Here are some of my favorites!
